The Recreation and Welfare Association, Inc. (R&W) operates gift stores and manages the vending machine programs in mostly the smaller buildings. They also have a contract for the dining centers located in Rockledge and Rockledge 6700B.

The R&W oversees one of the vending contractors which provides vending services on the NIH campus. The current contractor is Canteen, Inc..
