2008 National President’s Challenge – Rise to the Challenge

Which NIH Institute/Center has the most physically active employees?

“Rise to the Challenge” and find out!

This year, the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports will host the 2008 National President’s Challenge (http://www.PresidentsChallenge.org). The NIH Office of Management, through the Office of Research Services (ORS), will coordinate the Challenge for NIH employees.

The President’s Challenge begins March 20, 2008 and runs for eight (8) weeks until May 15, 2008. Your objective will be to meet a daily physical activity goal of thirty (30) minutes a day, at least five (5) days a week, for at least six (6) weeks. You earn points for every activity you log. Points are based on the amount of energy each activity burns.

Employees work towards accumulating points for their Institute/Center (IC). The more active you are, the more points you earn for your organization. The Institute/Center with the most points at the end of the Challenge will earn the title as the “NIH Most Physically Active Institute/Center.”

Registration is now open and ends March 20, 2008. Employees and contractors are eligible to participate.

How to Join:

  1. Visit the following NIH website to locate your IC’s Group ID ‘Number’ and Group Member ID ‘Name’:
